CEO of VADEFI, Jean-Pascal Orcel is a seasoned financier with 20 years of experience in the financing of capital-intensive infrastructure sectors like Energy, Telecommunication, in France and internationally

A graduate of Ecole Polytechnique and Telecom Paris Tech, he started his career in the public sector as manager at France Telecom and was seconded for 2 years as Advisor to the General Director for Energy in the Ministry of Industry. He spent 4 ½ years in Germany (Saarbrücken) to develop a joint venture of France Telecom and Deutsche Telekom. Thereafter he joined Credit Lyonnais where he served both as managing director of project finance in the Telecom Project Finance and Power sectors. After 6 years in Project Finance he became Senior Banker and Sector Head for 8 years (with Credit Lyonnais and ING Bank, in Paris and Amsterdam). In 2008, he joined EOLFI, a young company developing Renewables Energy projects and completed the financing of 300 MW of wind assets in several regions of France. In 2011 he joined DALKIA (VEOLIA group), responsible for financial operations: this included the development of partnerships with financial investors to deconsolidate new assets, project financing and corporate financing
